Motivating Organic Change with Federal Subsidies and Building Plurality

In order to return autonomy to workers in this country, we have to develop localized economies that thrive off of businesses that are colloquial and keep wealth circulating within communities. In order for these communities to regain that control of neighborhoods, we need to create policy that limits big businesses' ability to move into a city, or exist in a city.  In addition, we must capitalize on innovative projects that have developed specifically in the community so that they can begin to create a tangible local identity that provides both the necessities and local interests, ultimately becoming self sustainable.  Through grants and other subsidy programs we will motivate and allow for these ideas to prosper especially as they face the push back from big-business in these beginning moments of change.  In order for these changes to become staples of the community and part of the place they must be developed organically and come from community led grassroots ideas. These ideas are based in bringing back the community as a place of identity, and also as a place of shelter.  Localizing the economy will force communites to take account of its weaknesses and address them themselves instead of leaning on foreign help or aid. Ultimately, the idea is two part, as these ideas take place the United States communities like each state will begin to take on their own initiatives, identities, ideas. This plurality is the goal.  Ultimately this small government often allows for easier governing and one where the populous is more engaged and in control. With this being said it is important to note that the balancing factor is the federal government. Just like it will take federal government action to help localize and fight big-business it will also be the oversight to make sure that certain standards are the same across the board. I.e civil liberties, education, healthcare, etc. This will allow for the reemergence of communities without the impedance of bigotry.
